City of Hobsons Bay Dennis Reserve

Dennis Reserve is a multi-purpose parkland located in Williamstown within the City of Hobsons Bay. Simbuilt were contracted to demolish the existing Senior Citizens Centre and provide a new modern space for the community and Tennis Club. This space was developed into a high-quality, user-friendly mixed-use building for the council.

This build included a major upgrade to the floor area of the existing building, with upgraded community spaces and extensive landscaping externally. The new building includes multi-purpose rooms, bathroom facilities, a commercial kitchen, a lounge area and new Tennis Club rooms.

Construction included the abolishment of gas services and the addition of solar panels, improving the sustainability factor of the building. Areas surrounding the Dennis Reserve pavilion now provides the community with new park benches, footpaths, grassed areas, bicycle hoops, and accessible carparking.
